DILDAAR DABELI

Ingredients of Dabeli Masala - Masterchef kaviraj khialani dabeli recipe

  1. 1 teaspoon Steep Coriander
  2. 1 teaspoon cumin
  3. 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
  4. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  5. 1/2 inch cinnamon stick
  6. 1 big cardamom
  7. 2-3 cloves
  8. 1-star anise
  9. 1 teaspoon white sesame
  10. 2 tbsp dry coconut
  11. 2-3 dry red chilies
  12. 1/2 tsp amchur powder
  13. 1 teaspoon sugar
  14. salt to taste

Ingredients for Potato Mixture

  1. 3 medium-size boiled potatoes
  2. 2-3 tsp tamarind chutney
  3. 1/4 cup water
  4. 2 tbsp oil
  5. 2 tbsp coconut powder
  6. 2 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
  7. 2-3 tbsp Roasted Peanuts
  8. 1/4 cup Nylon sev
  9. 1/4 cup fresh pomegranate seeds

Ingredients for Serving Dabeli

  1. 5-6 loaf
  2. 2-3 tbsp butter
  3. 2-3 tbsp green chutney
  4. 2-3 tbsp tamarind chutney
  5. 2 onions cut into small size

Method

  1. To prepare Dabeli, first of all, gather all the above-mentioned ingredients.
  2. Now to prepare the masala for Dabeli, lightly roast all the dry and standing spices and then make a powder of it.
  3. After this prepare the potato mixture. For this, heat oil or ghee in a pan and add the masala prepared for Dabeli, along with 1/4 cup water and tamarind chutney. Now let it cook for 30 seconds, then add boiled and mashed potatoes in it. (How to make Gujarati Dabeli)
  4. Now take out this potato mixture on a plate and keep it to cool down. In this mixture, add cumin seeds, coriander leaves, pomegranate seeds, and sev on top.
  5. After this, you have to open the pav by cutting it from the middle. Put a little butter and chutney in the pav and fill the potato mixture in the pav. Now you have to keep some pieces of onion inside the dabeli and put some butter on the pan and fry it.
